Loggerhead Sea Turtle
Another species that nests 110 eggs and mainly eats gastropod mollusks,. In Costa Rica, it appears along the Caribbean where they appear between the months between May and August. A good place to see them is Tortguero and occasionally Barra de Pacuare.
A peculiarity is that it has a relatively large head with respect to the body, brownish reddish shell with 5 lateral shields and cream colored plastron. In Costa Rica nestles mainly in the Caribbean coast where they are observed between May and August.
