This magical spot is one of the most privileged places in the world for eco-tourism and is in a setting of incredible biodiversity of plant and animal life. La Baula Lodge has 54 large comfortable rooms decorated with a Caribbean flair. The overall architecture of the lodge is typical of the Caribbean zone and lends to the ambiance of the lodge.
A navigable network of lakes and channels crosses Tortuguero from the southeast to the northwest. This allows the great diversity of fauna and flora of the region to be seen firsthand. Tortuguero is one of the most important nesting sites in the western half of the Caribbean for the Green Turtle.
The Green Turtle is a medium size turtle with long fins that grows to one meter in length and can weigh from 75 to 200 kg. Tortuguero National Park is one of the world’s most magical places and our Jungle Lodge has been providing accommodation to those that wish to visit this area for over seventeen years.
