Mawamba Lodge is one of the most popular and well known lodges in Tortuguero. It comes with a restaurant, bar, pool and garden and grounds.
It is well located both on the ocean and on the main Tortuguero Jungle Canal, which is of advantage, especially during the sea turtle seasons.

Mawamba Lodge is located near the town of Tortuguero, connected to it by a coastal jungle trail, but still far away enough to create a wild, natural and quiet atmosphere for the lodge guests, The rooms are spacious, well distributed throughout the property. The lodge also has its own large swimming pool, bar, all inclusive restaurant and bar, private docks, boats and guides that will operate the tours that are included. The lodge is located both on the main jungle canals and on the ocean. Although the ocean in Tortuguero is not very safe for swimming, it is of advantage for early morning walks during the sea turtle hatching season.
